Membrillo is a paste made from fresh quince. It turns rosy pink and contain a rich apple-pear like flavour when the quince is cooked with sugar. The quince is made from organic fruit grown in Southern Spain, and it only contains quince, raw cane sugar and lemon juice.
Membrillo is perfect to be served with Manchego cheese. It is also a great way to be served with an undertone of flavour to apple and pear tarts, or even with a morning toast.
