It comes from the province of the Navarra in the Northeastern part of Spain which is famous for baby red pepper, “pimientos del piquillo”. The baby red peppers are roasted and peeled by hand one by one. It is sweet and has a wonderful aroma. It is a popular ingredient in Spain for tapas and is used for stuffing seafood, meat, vegetable and mushroom.
Tasting suggestion: After removing the seeds, add the red pepper and olive oil in a pan, cook slowly for 40 minutes, great sauce for steak.
